  1. Did very fucking well to hold on in the second half with ten men.

Hope the Leeds fan giving monkey gestures for most of the second half has a knock on his door from the plods.

  2. Bloody love football.

Hogg was a clear red but that was one of the worst officiating performances I’ve seen.

  3. Formula to beat Leeds:

    – Kick, elbow etc. players when they cross the half way line
    – Score from a cross

Saw it a bunch before the new year when we were struggling and I’m sure we’ll see it more now. 15 mins of stoppage time and we still lost 20 mins of gametime.

Dear Lord, what a sad little life, Huddersfield. You ruined my Saturday, completely, so you could have the point, but I hope now you use it on getting some lessons in not getting relegated because you have all the footballing talent of a Steve Evans managed Rotherham team.

  5. For the briefest, most glorious of moments, we looked infallible. Now back to business as usual. We were awful today and although I’m not happy with how Huddersfield bashed our players around, we really didn’t deserve to win

  6. Glad I support a team that actually plays football but that was absolutely shite

Will take the point, ref gave us everything today and we couldn’t pull out a win, not great.

BBC describes the match as ‘feisty’. Masters of understatement, as always. Feels like congratulations are in order for Hudds for keeping Leeds in check, but fucking hell that was a brutal way to go about it, especially the first half.

Why is there a pineapple on Leeds’ away kit?

  9. Probably one of the hardest games of the season out of the way, Huddersfield players gave 110% there.

  10. No team can keep winning indefinitely, still feels like shit to drop points today

Fucking horrible tactics from Huddersfield, but can’t say they weren’t worth their point overall imo

We tend to more than bounce back after for the most-part, so roll on Stoke at home, beat them and Wednesday and it’ll still be a pretty good week

Mad how 9 wins and a draw in our last 10 and we’re still gonna be biting our nails watching the teams around us play now

Don’t think it was a crumble. Clearly the better team the full match, sadly 30% of the match was watching Hudds players either stud one of our players or lying around with a fake injury (their goalkeeper didn’t even grab the right side when he went down lmfao)

Just isn’t happening for Summerville at the moment. He’s clearly one of the most talented in our team but the last few matches he’s ended up isolated with two players around with 0 ideas.

Honestly just pleased to come out of that with no injuries. Got a great starting XI and a lot of players knocking on the door (could see James starting over Gnonto, Roberts over Gray at RB and Piroe is trying to regain his spot).

Just gotta win the majority of our remaining games and you’d expect that to be enough for automatics. Could see this season being like our last promotion season where we were shoulder to shoulder but started to break away with 5 or so games to play.

If we draw or lose next week to Wednesday next week, then I’ll embrace the crumble meme

  12. What a horrible game, too many players off it.

It’s annoying watching a football match where one team doesn’t want to play football, but we’ve got to be better composed against teams that wanna kick us every 5 minutes. It cost us at Preston and it’s cost us today with the frustrated foul that led to the goal.

Fair play to Huddersfield. Disrupting the flow of the game was their best chance, and that first half they managed to prevent anything resembling football from breaking out. I genuinely mean that with the utmost respect as well, because a lot of people try to take digs at teams with less resources unless they naively try to actually outplay other teams.

    Plymouth… pls

  14. Great surprise result for us and excellent start for Breitenreiter.

Leeds looked very dangerous on the break and really should have scored after 3 minutes. We struggled to contain them for a little bit, but once the game settled they really didn’t create much at all. They also struggled a lot from set pieces, Gnoto marking Helik at one point was just laughable.

Then the sending off. Sad to say, but Hogg is coming to the end of his career and just a second or two behind play now. He hasn’t had many red cards in his career, but can’t complain about today.

A real shame though, because without the sending off we were more than a match and should have won that.

I see the Leeds fans complaining about the fouls, but if players push and shove and give it gob at every set piece then go down soft and roll around at every challenge, it just invites stronger challenges. If you are risking getting a yellow for any tackle then you might as well make it worthwhile.

For a bit more context the match stats:

    Fouls Leeds 13 Town 10
Shots on target Leeds 2 Ten man Town 5

Huddersfield tactics aside, we were awful today. Might be the least involved Georgi has been all season. We scored attacking from the right, but then kept forcing the ball down the left to Summerville, who has been out of form for about a month now. As has been the case all season long, it’s not the good teams we struggle against but rather the ones that keep everyone back to defend. 3 chances in a row still to trip up against those type of teams.

Once again, the best way to ensure you don’t end up blubbing about opposition shithousery/the referee/whatever is to go out and score three or more goals. Not having this moaning about the Huddersfield tactics from our fans. Absolutely honking stuff from us today, much too slovenly and ponderous on the ball, and you have to credit Town for battling well and holding on for a result with ten men. Hopefully it’s just a blip. Can’t afford to drop many more points at this stage of the season.

Really proud of that! Some effort second half to hold onto the point and thought the effort deserved it. Leeds looked a good side.

Like what I’ve seen of Breitenreiter so far – we will be absolutely fine this season.

Huddersfield having an in-stadium sponsor banner for a Children’s Hospice is maybe the most on-brand collaboration in the championship.

As we’ve come to expect against the Terriers, it was a ruff game, bit of a scrappy do in the first half. They don’t winalot but do have experience holding on to leads. Instead, at the whistle, it was the visitors leaving with the tail between their legs.

  20. Hogg should of been off after 20 mins. Such a dirty player god knows how he consistently gets away with it

  21. Goingmissing81 on

The team of Bremner, Hunter, Batty, Vinnie Jones, Berardi moaning about a physical game, what’s the world coming to? (And yes, Hogg should have been sent off, zero complaints).

The idea that we try and play like 1970 Brazil against that multimillion £ team is nuts. And yet far more shots on target first half before the red card. Decent start from Breitenreiter, I like what I’ve seen.

  22. As a town fan, ref ruined some of the game by ( in my mind) purposefully booking our three main tacklers. Hogg, kasumu and Pearson. Gnonto and rutter going around doing the exact same thing and yet their first booking was in the 63rd. I know championship refs are terrible but in a big game it was as a shocker.
