not going to pretend i know the details beyond what this article says, but every since they came to elland road as promotion favourites and got battered on the opening day, stoke have felt like the most “just there” club in the league.
like i couldn’t tell you basically anything about them, they just exist picking up 50-55 points a season and then you play them the next november and think “where are they in the league? 16th? ok fine”
