Let’s hope we can beat that next season

Boro finished 2nd in the championship (first division) in 97/98 but if it also goes on their highest finish in their highest division then fair enough

24th again! Shows how much we’ve underachieved historically in comparison to smaller towns and cities like Ipswich and Burnley.
Surprised to see Cambridges highest position is above Peterborough’s. I always think of Posh as the larger and more successful club.

How did Exeter finish 2nd but not have a higher finish the season after?

Who is that on the dunce step with us.

I’m surprised at how few teams have actually not won the PL/Top League

Paints a sad story of Forest Green, their highest finish being the first of two successive relegations straight back to the National League.

We shouldve been 1st, but that very vintage crumble!

It would be interesting to see their highest and lowest finishes for comparison.

Interesting how relatively few clubs from the South of England have won the League before.

Damn I didn’t know 20/21 would be Wycombe’s best ever finish

Where’s that guy who was banging on about Birmingham being too big for League 1?

2nd Biggest club in West London 🎉

As far as I can ascertain, the only team capable of beating their record this season (and they have) is Harrogate? And if they finish 7th they push Sutton to the bottom of the list.

Never knew that about Bristol City and Cardiff, and probably would never have guessed.

Has anyone seen the league table the year Cardiff came second? 😁

West Ham never winning the top flight is pretty crazy when you think about it

We are in by far our best ever season this year. The mansfield 9-2 was very much a stinker, 8-0 to blackburn slightly less so but still dreadful

Seeing some of those badges together makes me so nostalgic. Charlton, Bolton, Middlesbrough, QPR…
