Not getting any younger at 30 years old!!
Whatever he wants, I am fine with!! Hopefully he stays!!
bernie saga has been going on for too long man. he needs to come out and say something
In my opinion, from a career perspective Bernardo Silva leaving Manchester City for Barcelona is a massive downgrade. For many years, he has been linked with a move away from Manchester City and every summer, thereās this feeling that heāll leave once and for all and he always stays. Last summer they managed to renew his contract and he still might leave this summer as heās interested in joining Barcelona, PSG also want him and the rumors about a player being linked to Saudi Arabia or just never goes away because of the money and they tempt players to go there. Manchester City donāt force players to stay if they donāt want to be at the club anymore, similar with other players theyāve left City heāll find out that the grass isnāt greener on the other side outside of Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.
Barcelona are a big club historically and you canāt turn them or Real Madrid down when they come calling for you, but right now Barca arenāt an elite club. Heās in his prime heās playing on the best team in the world, they won a treble 12 months ago, they could win 2 more trophies in 2 weeks, they could win their 4th straight league title. When youāve won everything there is to win, ok the move to Barcelona makes sense, for him if he better off staying at Manchester City or going to Barcelona. Ilkay Gundogan for example in a span of 12 months went from winning a treble to going trophy less and heās been moaning about the lack of a winning desire and mentality at Barcelona. Heās been good individually, but again won the treble with Manchester City didnāt come close to winning a trophy at Barcelona. They love to take Cityās players and let them keep signing old players who are a couple years away from passing their prime. If he stays at Manchester City itāll be great, if he leaves, a massive blow for them a win for Barcelona and for him because itās a new challenge for him and in some sense heās downgrading and should think twice about his future.
This is sad really why players don't finish here like toni and modric
Bernardo Silva is one of the most talented players Iāve ever seen grace the premier league. He is the closest player to Lionel Messi when it comes to being technically gifted whenever he has the ball at his feet. From watching him heās a sublime footballer, because heās so good at getting out of tight spaces heās capable of dribbling past 3-4 players and he does it with ease he can also create make very good passes he has some goals here and there and heās also responsible for doing the dirty work. This is a rare combination in a player being such a creative and technical player and heās not afraid of putting in a shift on defense. One of the things that makes him a special player is the fact that his stats arenāt gonna be the craziest, you donāt expect him to dominate the stat sheet, but off the eye test, heās such a well rounded player and he often goes under the radar mainly because of the āstat driven cultureā of modern football where players are judged by how many goals and assists. What he brings on the field is much more than his output and sometimes that area of a playerās ability can be ignored because we obsess over stats nothing else. This is why Pep Guardiola values him so highly. At Manchester City heās more irreplaceable to that team than Rodri is in my opinion because thereās no like for like replacement for him in that CDM role, you look at Bernardo he plays as a CAM and a winger at times, heās playing in almost every position on the field and finding a replacement for him will be difficult even if you sign Lucas Paqueta or another elite midfielder.
His talent was already evident even before his move to Manchester City. He was part of a Monaco team that won Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semifinals. At Manchester City under Pep Guardiola he has elevated his game to another level and has been one of the best players in the world in the last couple of years even if heās a little underrated. He went from an out and out winger to a world class midfielder and it tells you Pepās ability to get the best out of his players as this is a guy whoās not tall heās always had that technical ability which is why they converted him into an attacking midfielder. He was basically a David Silva replacement and if made since his style is so reminiscent to his. He has been a regular starter on a team thatās won 5 out of the last 6 league titles and the guy was never a passenger in Manchester Cityās success he is very consistent is always an 8/10 every week and he just goes about his business on the field even if he doesnāt get the same headlines as Erling Haaland Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri. In this day and age a player needs PR and media hype and Bernardo is a player where you can appreciate his value if you actually watch the games. Because Manchester City is such a star studded team, theyāre so good to the point where almost every good player on that team is underrated and donāt get talked about enough. He is a ābig game merchantā one of the very few players who delivers in high profile games and thatās an important skill and part of why heās world class because he actually shows up in big games and he doesnāt ghost unlike certain players. He has helped them win trophies and that cannot be denied as he has chipped in with important goals and assists. If he leaves Manchester City eventually, they have their work cut in trying to replace him because Bernardo Silva is too good and heās one of the best players to have ever played in the premier league.
If he leaves I'm going to be sad he is one of the best players I've seen at city and in the premier league, I'll miss his close control dribbles they were just magical along with his versatility
How the f are we gonna replace him
He played a big part last season when we won the treble
he does not leave , trust me
We are not a parasitic club. For whatever he has done for us we will always remain grateful. 20 years from now he wont be remembered as a Benfica legend, a PSG legend or a Barca legend. He will be remembered by the football world as a Man City legend.
very sad news a real city legend all the best bernardo you will be greatly missed X
I think its time for Oscar Bobb to shine. I truly hope Pep will go for him now. He is not to young at all.
To play in a team that competes in three tournaments every season is hard both for the body and mind. For players having family and kids its even harder.
The only way I think Bernardo leaves is if thereās a potential swap deal involved like for example, Barcelona dejong to city Bernardo to Barcelona Or PSG potentially because Walker is getting older Should PSG want him we should ask for hakimi as part of the deal
Bernardo leaving Man City?????
No.
Musiala could replace bernardo silva
Unless all the club's in European football are clueless. It's hard to imagine 1 of them not picking up his 50 mill release clause. Regardless, if Bernardo stays or goes..? I wish him all the best!šÆ Thank you Mr. Silva!š
barca has injury concerns with gavi pedri balde and they will likely sell two of De jong Raphina Ferran and Fati to make up funds and reduce wages 50 mil for silva is a steal in barcas eyes since he can play all over their mid field as well as start at RW in front of yamal since he is quite young and cant play every single game it makes sense why they would want him and he might want a change of location after winning at city so much but obv the club and the fans would want him to stay but hard to say no to Barca or Madrid with city prob seeing Paqueta as the replacment hope a combo of Bobb Doku and Savio can make up those lost min if barca can cough up the cash and silva decides to leave
