I could be having a mental blank here (so correct me if I’m wrong), but I don’t think Rooney has had a proper preseason with a club where he could build his own team and culture has he?
He’s always come in to someone else’s squad and had to work with what he was given with a shoestring budget during new year transfers.
Never know, he could turn out alright if he’s given the opportunity and time to build and guide the team his way.
