The more yanks that buy our clubs the closer we come to getting dragged into an American sports system without relegation and games getting played abroad

I’m fine with American owners if they just run the clubs properly and show respect for the history of the game without trying to change everything.
What worries me and many other fans across the country is increasing American influence and sports culture creeping into the game, it is antithesis to the idea of the pyramid and has no place in English or European football.
To give an example off the top of my head, tiered ticket priing is an example of something that they’ve brought along with them as part of the “american model” backed by private equity (which is being protested by clubs in the Bundesliga as we speak and rightly so) which has gone a long way towards pricing fans out of the game.
I can, as others have said see a future where if the yanks have a majority in the premier league, ,meaning things such as “game 39″and possibly even worse could become a reality. Fans don’t want these changes and we’re fast becoming a minority voice in our own game.
To paraphrase Kieren Maguire the Americans do not see football as a sport, they see it as an extension of the entertainment business. They don’t care abut football, they are fans of making money.
Are they alone in this? No, other foreign investment groups are just as culpable for damage caused to clubs and the game as a whole, but multiple wrongs do not make a right and for me, the Americans are becoming too vocal a force.
I’m sincerely hoping for the sake of the game that this all ends up being moot and that the new football regulator lays down the law, puts in strict guidelines protecting the traditions of the pyramid and keeps them in check.
