No doubt there’ll be a lot that take issue with red bulls** being on the home shirt (in the leaks that came about this deal a few days ago, it was said that the Red Bull logo would be in it’s usual colours on the home shirt, but not the third or away)
But the same leaks (EDIT: and now Phil Hay) indicate this the biggest shirt sponsorship ever agreed with an EFL club (helps when they’re an investor 😅), so should only be a boost for us, providing they don’t get handsy in the future and try to create Red Bull Leeds

presumably the efl have cleared the value of the deal the same way the prem have to clear that pif owned sponsor for newcastle etc,, but it sure feels dodgy having your owners (part or full) being the shirt sponsor in both cases
still beats a betting company i suppose, and at least red bull don’t behead journos to my knowledge.
my biggest issue with this as a standalone deal is probably that i think the red bull sponsor on their other teams looks ugly as shit. obviously if they want to take actual control down the line and fuck with the clubs identity they can piss off but lets burn that bridge down when they try and cross it

Did they say how much the minority stake is?
49% is technically a minority.

I imagine the kill bill siren is playing alot in the minds of Leeds lot when they saw Leeds and red in the same sentence.

It’s like someone is deliberately trying to make them the most hated club, for reference see what the Germans and Austrians think of the red bull clubs in their leagues.

I presume this has something to do with the Augestein settlement too so Leeds avoid having to pay 24 million up front which is a huge sum

Red bull as a sponsor is 100% better than any betting or vape company

As it is, this isn’t completely awful. It’s more money, we have to put up with red on the shirt (ffs) but whatever.
Redbull stand against everything that we, as in everyone in the EFL, loves about football. Community, loyalty, identity just to name a few. If you don’t know what I’m talking about look at what they’ve done to Salzburg and Leipzig. I really despise the RB group and hope this is as much involvement as they ever have in leeds, although that seems like a naive wish.
Edit: forgot to add: fuck the 49ers, you’ve already got enough money you pricks

This is huge for Leeds and could potentially lead to them benefitting from the Red Bull Sports model, like if they get rid of their manager they could get someone in like Jesse Marsch, great coach in the Red Bull System
Could also lead to star players being signed for good prices, they ought to look at Brenden Aaronson and try sign him at whichever club he’s at /s

Be scared Leeds fans what could possibly be coming up, name change, kit change and everyone hating you like you are a combo of MK/Liverpool/North Battersea and Citeh.
