Needed significant cover from the CB in defense but could have easily improved that since he left us.

I liked Valery whenever he played for us. Probably not the best defensively and realistically probably not prem level but he’s easily good enough for the Championship. Knows Rohl too as he was in the squad a lot before he left, then Hasenhuttl sort of just dropped him

A little inconsistent sometimes and suspect defensively (has 0 strength) but enjoyed him playing for us tbh

There was some really disturbing allegations around him when he left Saints. Dont know what if anything ended up happening with that, but he was a promising player

Seen lots of saints fans surprisingly say he’s defensively poor, I’d definitely say the opposite, decent dribbler and tackler and solid 1v1, in the mid 80 percentile last year for 1v1’s (which is very decent). He played the majority of his last games for us at centre back in a back three. He just struggled with his passing and wasn’t press resistant, something thats vital as a fullback in Ralph’s system
