I think this is one we’ll regret but what a signing for Brentford.

Well that’s certainly a turnaround

Fuck Brentford

Rather spend that 35M on Wanderson anyways

Good choice by him really, guaranteed first team football

Good. £35m for a player with one senior season in football (in the Championship) is mental.

Lol
This might be another Grealish, Olise, Maddison, Eze…

I don’t get why we wouldn’t pony up 35m for him… Seems like he’d be a versatile option with huge potential and ticks the HG box… Maybe Brentford can guarantee him more playtime?

Let Levy cook, back to the copium phase.

Very disappointing. I feel as a team we are in purgatory.
Maybe too big for young talents like Gray feeling like they can come to us and regularly pay. And then there are bigger teams than us who then gazump us for players.
It’s very frustrating and hopefully Lange and Co are rectifying this. (Seen this with the likes of Bergvall and Dragusin etc)

wtf this sucks. ah well we move on to the next target…

Upside is that Leeds now have money for Rodon and skipp

Fuck this. Seriously.
We will regret this one.

Disappointing, one of the few players who could develop into a truely top DM and would of also been able to provide an option at RB

35 was all it took and they let Brentford beat them to it?

Wow. Gonna regret this one.

Well, we don’t really have enough money or prestige to be spending 40 million on nailed-on backups, considering there are other, more important positions to fill in the squad
It’s just the way it is

According to a post on r/soccer involving a Leeds ITK, his family are apparently very unhappy with this and feel like he’s being pushed out.
That said, Brentford is probably the best destination for him right now in terms of guaranteed minutes and continued growth. They’ll be able to sell him for a fortune in a few years too. Gutted for us, but it makes sense why he’d choose them of all clubs if he does have to go.

Even if we offered the same package, I could see him choosing Brentford. He will simply be offered more opportunities to play there and that just makes far more sense for him at this stage of his career.

The one transfer I felt the most confident in. Well this sucks. Was a perfect fit.

It was fun while the rumors lasted I guess.. Good luck to him though.

I’m kind of disappointed. I know Lange’s style = no links, boring and I appreciate that but this is one of the few guys where the interest seemed to be real and we are not even going to try?
Lad has a shit ton of potential too, wish the club at least tried to do something

Bare in mind this is a similar fee to what we got Porro for. You’re paying A LOT of money for potential that may or may not ever be fulfilled. Plus, his career is much more likely to stall being sat on the bench here (see Spence) than if he goes to Brentford and plays.

I think people will become very frustrated this transfer window just because the club is being very secretive about its dealings under the new management. Gold reported earlier that we have strong interest in Gray, but if he’s agreed personal terms with Brentford, it’s likely that the club had already moved onto other targets well prior to the news today. As fun as it is to speculate, it’s probably not worth it to worry about transfer news this summer until we get something more concrete since it looks like the reports that we are getting right now are a few days/weeks behind.
Of course, the window might actually end up being shit and we might not bring in any of our targets, but we won’t really know until late July at the earliest.

100% we will regret this. Honestly no idea who we are interested in at the moment, theres no way spending £110m minimum on Eze and Ramsey is viable.
