“I will never apologise for playing for Man Utd.” Love that!

Basically it was a job for him which is fair enough.

God that was a long winded way to say, “Liverpool is a city of scruffy, stinking cunts and I wanted to play for a proper elite club before I retired”

Will always be thankful for the best manchester derby I’ve ever experienced.

Brendan Rodgers and Suarez weren’t at Liverpool until he’d already signed with United.

That’s genuinely the most eloquent statement I’ve ever heard from him, fair play.

Fair play to the man. Rated Owen during his younger days – at his peak he was unplayable, so quick, so lethal, an incredible finisher.
He gets quite some stick these days for having played for both teams, for being abit weird on social media, being abit of a bellend sometimes and of course being bland on TV but as a player his time at United was a success, all things considered.
Came on low wages (pay as you play? Not sure) to fulfil a role similar to what Evans did this season and he did fairly well for a striker that was essentially back up to the back-up.
52 games, 17 goals – one goal every 3 games – not bad at all when you consider he scored in a Cup final, scored a Champions League hat-trick and was mainly used as a late substitute.
And we will always have that 4-3 winner to remember him by – amazing moment.

Fair play for that response. 💯can respect that from Owen.

I understand what he means when he says that as a player he doesn’t think about clubs and club loyalty the same way we do as fans but at the same time I couldn’t imagine being a player, being a United fan and then signing for Liverpool or City. Even if United said we don’t want you and never will want you. Unless I was a kid trying to break in and there was no one else.
