Honestly though is Minteh worth £33m? That is a huge amount for somebody bought for £6m last year.

Meh, I’m alright with this, £33 mil can get you better from abroad, and we can spend half of that on philogene, giving us more finances to get in another winger

All the Dom drama aside, we were never going to get this guy. The Club was never going to spend in excess of 30 mil on a 19 year old unproven winger. It would have been a great swap deal with Dom but we just need to move on now.

Everybody’s suddenly pissed at Dom, but I don’t know that this kid is going to be an improvement on him. Dom’s had 2 injury plagued seasons, but looked good at the end of the year. If I’m honest, I’d rather have him at the club for another year, even if he runs down his contract, because replacing a striker of his caliber is going to be hard to do. We’ve seen people kill it in the Dutch league and flop in the Prem before. I’d much rather take the safe option for the final season at Goodison.

I don’t think anyone apart from Romano was seriously linking us to this guy anyway. I think the Bobble even said we just asked the question when they enquired about DCL but didn’t go much further. Hopefully that means the club have other targets that they’d prefer.
