Bellingham, Foden and Harry cannot play together or atleast they have shown so far they can’t. You gotta drop one of Bellingham or Foden if you can’t play them at 8. Harry needs runners as well for which Rashford would have been perfect. Gordon is a close 2nd in that role. Naglesmann dropped Wirtz because he wanted width for Sane but Southgate is a below average coach with no guts. At the very least he should have dropped Bellingham to get in Palmer on Left wing. Mainoo alone at CM cannot solve the N number of issues England have. Super happy for our lad but lets protect him against the incoming vile from journalists and opposition fans, his every touch carries extra scrutinyÂ

As glad as I am he’s in the team, because he is That Guy. I can’t help but feel like because he’s going to take the brunt of the negativity because the average viewer won’t understand what he does, and with the rest of the team still being the team from the shit show so far, I’m not sure Mainoo on his own will be able make the difference we need, but it is a step in the right direction.
