Don't let this distract you that this guy did a terrible job as a coach this game. CR7 will always be a legend, and it is saddening to see him on a field crying, but the coach's job is to win. Benching Vitinha, who was one of the game s best performers, and letting Pepe stay for 115 minutes? This game was saved by Diogo Costa, who might very well just had the single best goalkeeping performance of the entire tournament.

If Bruno took that penalty and missed, the non-Portuguese Ronaldo fans, would be singing a different tune.
Ronaldo and Messi are the only two players that take football as a job, not a hobby like 99.98% players do. We see him crying because it's a lot of weight he carries in his shoulders. He doesn't want to let Portuguese fans and the country, plus his personal fans that supporter him wherever he's playing.
