This is an unmitigated disaster. I’m genuinely furious if this is true.

He and Fraser both were promoted less than a year ago, what the fuck happened?

  2. AncientSkys on

Why? Is the board trying spend lots of money on teenagers from other clubs instead of continuing to produce the best talents?

Ill wait for a reliable source i dont trust these accounts, if true this is fucked up

  4. Clownlake strikes again. Wonder what the bots will say now. Rio probably leaving too I guess.

  5. What an absolute nightmare, the people behind one of the best academies in the world and they’re off. Add it to the list of mistakes by Clearlake

  6. Few people in this club were as well regarded as Bath, including by Clearlake’s own admission. Would love to see people defend this as a good move somehow if true

Wow. Wasn’t Neil Bath huge for the Chelsea academy for long periods of time? We had the best academy in England and one of the best in the world so him departing is a blow

“its part of the project man! Theyre multi millionaires, youll tell me they cant make a club successful?? Theyve said it before they want to be successful!!”

  9. I’m beyond sick of this disgraceful ownership. In 2 years they’ve destroyed everything that we are. The worst thing is that there’s nothing we can do but stand aside and watch them do it

Probably got tired of hearing Bath tell ownership that they don’t need to sign someone because we have academy products ready to step up. Watch us go on a selling spree getting rid of these young prospects with nobody there to go to bat for the players

Congratulation Boehly and Clearlake for completely ruining the the positive asset bout Chelsea.

Neil Bath had been here for 20 years and has built Cobham foundation bit by bit just for you to sell them for “pure profit” to make up for reckless “investment”.

    Fucking pricks. Everyone of them.

Not surprised but still infuriating. Are they just afraid of anything positive attached to the old ownership? Did they not toe the company line?

Bath is the best there is. Period. You can expect the parents of many of our youth will consider looking to move their kids on if this is true and that will cost us a fortune in the long run.

This is part of their long term plan to burn Cobham to the ground for the insurance money.

Trying hard not to be reactionary but Neil Bath was amazing at his job and a vital part of our academy and it’s identity. Sucks

Out of non-players, this one is the worst for me. Even more than Tuchel. Under Bath’s leadership we had one of the best academies in the world and the reputation to go along with it. Even if we get someone really good in, this will set the program back a good bit at least in the short term.

Not really a surprise, but massively disappointing nonetheless.

He’s been sidelined into other projects since the takeover.

Do we know if they decided to leave by themselves rather than getting forced out?

  18. This is not Chelsea anymore. It’s entirely new management, backroom staff and players in the new owner management.

Old saying, when every piece of woods and nails of a ship has changed to a new one, is it still the original ship?

  19. Psychological_Fee470 on

Wait for the PR of This ownership painting themselves holier than thou.

Niel Bath is the reason we had an academy and is the reason they can sell players to accommodate stupid 100 million transfers

  20. Shock horror, when the club is more interested in purchasing the youth from other teams rather than nurturing their own – what is even the point of an academy then? These two obviously can see that all the work they do is pointless and none of their players will ever be given a real chance in the first team, they are just to be sold for profit to sign teenagers from elsewhere to develop on loans.

  21. revivingdeadflowers on

haha fuck me. the people responsible for the only world class thing remaining about this club are leaving now. if you weren’t worried before, now is the time to start worrying

  22. The past two years have been the football equivalent of watching the fall of Rome

    We’re so finished

  23. To be fair, this is the most logical option from a BluCo perspective.. Can’t have fans moaning about the club selling amazing home grown talent, when there is no amazing home grown talent!
