He’s 21, it’s his first year in a top 5 league and Lyon was in complete crisis. He’s mostly been used on the left wing and the two times he started centrally he scored. Acting as if he is a massive flop is incredibly fucking weird. He was a january signing meaning he missed 3 games in the league where he didn’t play at all and was on the bench. What the fuck is this weird ass post?

Everyone wants to be excited and look forward to these dudes succeeding but no one wants to actually see them play at this level before figuring things out.

Plenty of data that argues for and against signing young talent with high fees but definitely, majority of the time, they turn out to be more of miss.
Still time for Orban to prove people wrong, but what’s absolutely clear is he would’ve been a miss with us because he would not have gotten the minutes he needs to develop to his full potential (whatever that may be).
Main takeaway is never have a meltdown because your club doesn’t sign a young, unproven talent for a high fee.

I still stand by my enthusiasm to want to see Spurs sign Orban! As his transfer to our club would be one hell of a story! Coming from Africa to the second division in Norway to make it to all the way to our club at the top is what dreams are about!
