I was hoping Portugal was going through. But when Bruno gets subbed off, i didn’t mind them going out. So stupid to sub him out. Also aswell Semedo instead of Dalot for Cancelo is really weird.

Extremely frustrating as a Belgian seeing Martinez repeating past mistakes. When Bruno got subbed, I immediately knew they’d be in trouble. Game had penalties written all over it. You just don’t take off your best penalty taker like that.

I feel bad for Bruno, Pepe, all the younger players.. pretty much everyone except Ronaldo. The lack of self-awareness is shocking. How do you not see yourself decline over 2 or 3 years, watch yourself miss chance after chance, watch yourself fail to contribute most games, and not tell the manager that you’d accept a role on the bench.

My utter distain for Martinez reached new levels I didn’t think possible. The man is and has always been an absolute fraud.
That France team were firing blanks and their for the taking and instead they just spend all game trying to cross to Ronaldo.
I wanted Portugal to go out in the group stage partly because of the above distain but mostly because Bruno needs a long ass rest.
