There is a deep hatred from Chelsea & City fans on X. Still finding ways to criticise even after tonight. It’s really sad. He is the best England player bar none & he is a long way clear. No one else carries even half the threat on an attack. I have total respect for all the penalty takers no matter what club they play for. All heroes tonight.

Saw people on the match thread saying, oK hE ScorEd, BuT hE StiLl hAd a StiNker. He was one of best players, almost every chance we had, he made. Only problem was nobody bothered to go into the box to meet his crosses so he had to score by himself
