Felt like a proud parent watching Saka yesterday
Regarding the backpages drama, anyone trying to defend this is being daft on purpose at this point. Saka is the face of this victory:
• He scored an absolute screamer to keep Englands hopes alive.
• He worked his socks off in multiple positions after the media were questioning his position in the XI
• He was MOTM
• He scored his penalty – very brave of him after the racist hate he received in the last Euros.
Majority of the talking points after the game was about him. There’s absolutely no reason why he shouldn’t be the face of this victory, especially when a 20min cameo made him the face of a loss.
Imagine not having bukayo saka carrying your club and country, couldn’t be me.

You know, that England vs Switzerland match reminds me on why right now, Bukayo Saka is one of my favorite players of all time. For someone who says to me that he has an “underwhelming season” by his own standards, he still gives it all especially considering his goal stats did improve this season. And even if he is seemingly burnt out, Saka still tried his best to give it all and I am happy to see it. So glad that he got a MOTM award at the end and really conquered his fear years ago. It really does feel cathartic

The biggest transfers for Arsenal’s league challenge would be KDB and Ederson leaving for Saudi, both are 1 of 1 for Pep and in the world tbh.
Even though I expect Pep to find a solution, I do think their presence and leadership won’t just be replaced.

Hope we sign an attacker before the season starts so that we can properly rotate Saka next season. He did an unreal amount of minutes and running this Euros and it’s not over yet. Lucky that at least the Gabi’s can start the season fresh so Saka can get an extended holiday
Our players have been so good at penalties. Pretty sure the last time they missed one in a competitive match was April last year
With Brazil now thankfully out of the Copa, does this mean that Gabriel and Martinelli will be there for the last two games of pre-season? I know we have to give them 5 weeks of holiday, but they had two weeks off prior to the tournament starting, so would they just take 3-4 weeks now and be back in time for those two games?
