Problem is long term if you sign just young layers and not mix them with older ones you end up like Milan, as soon as the stakes are high the legs are shaking.
It makes sense financially and that’s about it.
That signing really didn’t make that much sense though. Hermoso always played the left cb postion for Atleti which Bastoni has on lock. Too expensive for a backup and quite risky trying to have him play in a new position.
Someone like Bijol is young and somewhat inexpensive, and would suit that central cb position perfectly
