Celtic aside, how on Earth has this happened? Have PSG just cannibalised their entire league?

  2. Hopefully this is the collapse of modern capitalistic club football as we know it.

    I mean it won’t but it’s a nice thought

  3. There are undoubtedly some decent players amongst that lot, however, I’d imagine more solvent French and Belgian teams which scavenge them.

If you ignore how grim it is to rub your hands together at the potential bankruptcy of several clubs, there are a few really good goalkeeping options for us in those teams.

Brice Samba, 30, Lens – French #1 (but not first choice!) at the Euros. Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023. Probably out of our reach to be honest.

Alban Lafont, 25, Nantes – Very highly rated keeper. Fiorentina and Nantes both paid good money for this guy.

Yahia Fofana, 23, Angers – Current first-choice Ivory Coast GK. We should be looking at this guy regardless because he’s probably outgrown Angers in fairness to them.

Yehvann Diouf, 24, Reims – Another talented young keeper.
