  1. Preston North End are delighted to announce Stefán Teitur Thórdarson has joined the club on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.

The Iceland international has made the move from Danish top flight side Silkeborg IF for an undisclosed fee, and the club hold the option to extend the deal by a further year.

Standing at 6ft 2in, the versatile midfielder has earned 20 caps for his country, with one of those being an appearance at Wembley against England in June earlier this year.

  2. Ryan Lowe giving Craig Hemmings special thanks for financing the deal is funny to me, he’s not broken the transfer record he’s come in for a small fee for this league!

We’ve needed a proper midfield destroyer for a while now, someone who can physically compete and him and Whiteman should be good options to support Mads.

Quite a few more players needed yet so hopefully they get done soon.

  3. Saying its an undisclosed fee when Silkeborg are telling everybody through the stock market

Looks a good signing on paper, good age, physical presence, good touch and eye for goal in highlights, and a low fee due to his short contract status.

Guess we will see if he adapts to the league.
