commiserations a step too far yeah tough game you know it’s hard to to put into words how we’re all feeling right now but yeah tough game you know uh we done well to get back into the game at 1-1 and then we struggled to build on that really and then uh yeah I mean to concede later on is obviously a really painful one to take and yeah I don’t know what to say when Cole barmer equalizes do you think here we go again yeah I mean we’ve been coming from behind all all uh all tournament so we know we’ve got that in the look we know the resilience that we’ve we’ve shown but yeah ultimately we we once we got back into the game we didn’t take the next step and and go on to win the game of course and uh yeah did The Comebacks over the last couple of weeks take their toll maybe emotionally and physically did we see that I’m not too sure I think uh in the first half especially we struggled really Spain played played well and and had us under pressure and we couldn’t quite keep the ball like we wanted to second half was a little bit better and then of course we got the goal and we felt like we had the momentum but we couldn’t uh we couldn’t keep it and then then obviously we got caught with a with a cross there and yeah that’s uh that’s the final does it feel like uh an opportunity missed obviously it does but but you also look at this as history made a first Final on foreign soil no it’s an opportunity missed I think uh yeah they’re not easy to get to these finals we sh an unbelievable resilience and character to get to where we are But ultimately you have to take you have to take it when it comes and and we haven’t done that again so yeah it’s extremely extremely painful it’s going to hurt for a long long time and yeah all we can say is just thanks to to the fans thanks to everyone who believed in us and we’ll be back many of these players will go again of course but maybe not with g no that’s not for now that’s G’s decision he’ll go away and take time on that but yeah it’s uh it’s disappointing that we couldn’t win it for him we want it so badly to win it for him so thank you Harry commiserations the the hurt goes on yeah yeah um look I I think they were the best team in the tournament um we didn’t quite keep the ball well enough um but we were right in it until the last you know 10 last 10 minutes so yeah I’m devastated for everybody really uh players have been absolutely incredible so proud of what they’ve done but yeah we’ve just Fallen a little bit short when cold C Palmer equalized is it did you think here we go again it’s that resilience again yeah yeah no question because we had a little bit of momentum in the game at that point as well and um yeah there’s big big chance at the end to equalize as well but probably across the 90 minutes I’m not sure we did quite enough do you think maybe The Comebacks of the last few weeks caught up with the team physically emotionally yeah possibly I just think against Spain they press well you have to keep the ball when you win it back and defensively we were we were fine in the first half we just needed to retain the ball a little bit more you know in the end maybe that is the bit that takes more out of your legs as well were were the players in the physical condition you you would have liked optimal condition when you look at Harry maybe and dude Bellingham who’s had to go so to the distance in so many games yeah like there’s not there’s no uh hiding from the fact that we’ve had a lot of issues coming into the tournament we’ve managed to deal with most of them we’ managed to get LCA tonight but yeah in the end we’ve just we’ve just fallen short do you look on this as a tournament a successful tournament a history-making tournament obviously first on foreign soil or a missed opportunity Yeah well yeah probably both frankly um you know I think the players have got to take enormous credit for getting us to the point we did but then when you as close as that you yeah you you’ve got to take those chances what are you most proud of just the way that they’ve they’ve fought they’ve uh represented the shirt with pride you know they’ve never been beaten until the very end you know five minutes of the last game um yeah the character and and the uh resilience that they’ve shown like I said I I just think tonight we didn’t quite keep the ball well enough to you know they had more control of the game and I think that that was probably the bet that made the difference this job is huge hugely demanding have you more to give have you more you want to give yeah look I I don’t think now is a good time to make a decision like that um I’ve got to talk to the right people and um yeah it’s it’s just not for now this team though a lot of this team have more to come don’t they young men going to the next World Cup with a a lot more potential from this group of players yeah no look I think England are in a really good position in terms of the experiences they’ve got now the age of the squad you know most of this squad are going to be around not only for the World Cup but the next Euros as well so um yeah there’s a lot to look forward to but you know that’s not yeah at this moment that’s not any consolation here it’s no consolation Gareth thank you very much commiserations and um well it’s been a tournament obviously where do you say England of made made them more thank you thanks Cole it’s a tough one to take do you think in the end Spain just deserved it Spain have been brilliant all tournament everyone’s seeing what what they can do so yeah they’re a great team and congratulations to when you equalized you think this is it we’re going to kick on come back as we’ve done previously we hoped to that’s what we wanted to do but we didn’t do that so yeah just hurts the frustration is I think having equalized then Spain go to the other end and and win it yeah got it got it how do you sum up the tournament for this group and and for yourself well we got to another final just positives to take but you know everyone wanted to go one step further and disappointed that we didn’t it might be the last step for the manager he’s going to make a decision on that how do you reflect on on what Gareth has done and obviously done for this group yeah gareth’s been amazing for the group you know he’s got the team to about to about finals so yeah it’s it’s been it’s been good and the other thing is young players have come through haven’t they young players now who can look to towards the World Cup yeah you know the World Cup’s in two years time and we need to remember this feeling and hopefully push on and try and win thank you Cole thank you rogy well done Spain champions of Europe for a record fourth time it’s unbelievable I mean this is uh this is a dream uh now we’re the best national team in the Euros uh is crazy um but this talks about the the hum The Humble that we have all these years to to keep working never lose the faith in this tournament come on we we beat four World Cup champions I mean how tough was it was unbelievable so I think they deserve everything when Cole Palmer your clubmate equalizes do you think oh no England are coming back again yeah we know we know they they don’t need to do a great game to to draw to score goals and I know this guy is he’s a huge stent he’s going to be a top player in the next years uh he put in the corner and in that moments we suffer a little bit but this tournament we saw something different that uh key and we overcome this situation so was great and you found in those wide positions Williams and yamal something special haven’t you imagine uh what we have next we’re so happy of what happened uh we made history but uh this doesn’t stop here I mean the future for us is is going to get everything because we have talent enough to keep going and and now we’re going to face whatever it comes it’s important to celebrate what we done it is well done thank you very much well was it a step too far tonight do you think I think we I the one thing we played our best football in the first half then second half we better side but consider the early second half then we got the goal back and we’re dominant then they’ve just G us a suck of punch towards the end and yeah just devastated do you think physically and emotionally maybe that The Comebacks and the last couple of games might have caught up with you I think we’re all freshed and ready to go um them are the moments in the gam that you make your Heroes and to get to the final we’ve got to be proud but also absolutely devastated for us as players in England and as a nation not to get over the line um yeah like I’m good for like my family um being on the journey with me since I was a kid and not to get over the line but uh got to be proud of what we’ve Tred to achieve and another full falling short again there’s plenty of players in this squad that aren’t there like Cole Palmer like um Ole Watkins and and and Veterans there I said like yourself who’ve got more to come who can go to the World Cup there’s there’s development in this squad isn’t there yeah we Fel fallen short and two massive negatives to get beat on ity in the last year R was on pens and for them to score in the 86 minute T night was yeah took the s out with me to be honest and uh yeah no more words really I’ve give it me all I think we all give it our all and we’ve just not managed to get over the line we’ll see what happens with Gareth and his future he’s going to have a think about it um how would you sum up his his era you’ve been with him through pretty much all of that time yeah we’ve had a fantastic journey and hopefully he stays on because he’s the best England manager that that that there’s been looking at the history over what we’ve achieved over the not achieved we well I would say we have achieved but we’ve not getting over the line um to get in two finals one semi and one quarters and four Mes in a row is a great achievement but not to lift that that trophy at the end a massive suir of punch for us you know that’s all we want ever as a as a team and we’ve not managed to do it and we’re
