Spain are EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS, and they DESERVE IT! (Euro 2024 Review)

it’s over after a full month of matches we finally have our Euro 2024 winner there were some Dreadful matches there were some brilliant ones and thankfully a team that provided a lot of brilliant matches is the winner what’s up guys welcome to the final Euro video I will be taking a break after this more info on this at the end I won’t bore you now but in case you don’t make it there I thank all of you for spending this tournament with me I hope these videos provided you value thank you so much for your uh attendance I guess this is a classroom now but hey we have a final to talk about now Spain’s lineup it was the exact lineup that we expected to see that all of us expected to see same as the semi-final except bringing back the no longer suspended Carvajal and Le normont in the backline England remember how I was saying that Southgate would be monitoring trippier on the left if he was to start as he had been bringing Luke Shaw into the last couple of matches and he looked decent as he recovered from his injury well jaw got the start his first start since February actually 21 weeks since his last start England won just two matches within the 90 minutes their first one and their last one Spain had outscored them 13 to7 but England certainly put in their best performance in their previous match doesn’t matter how you start the tournament just how you end it right now how did England start this match in particular though really really passively unsurprisingly sitting deep not pressing Spain too much as they work the ball around the English Defenders with one or two touches looking as though they would try to counter when they could but they were a bit nervy poor touches from England passes to the opposition early passes out of bounds after 8 minutes England had just 177% possession to Spain’s 83 we saw our first Flash from Williams when Kyle Walker was caught out of position trying to tackle Fabian Ruiz that left stones to take on Williams of whom Williams got by but if he had taken his strike with his first or second step it would have been on Target it would have made it past him but those extra strides he took allowed stones to recover and put in a great tackle to block williams’ strike speaking of Walker however he overlapped well in the 15th minute for England’s first real Attack earning a corner for his side that seemed to Galvanize England a bit having that one foray forward from Walker which led to plenty of others as England started to use their width a little more often getting the ball to Saka probably their best player in this tournament that’s where all of their wide play comes from as highlighted in the preview saaka and foden provide most of the attacking danger you rarely see Bellingham progress it down the left he’s the one you want attacking the box but that’s what Spain did well they dominate the Midfield they own the middle of the pitch foden Kane and Bellingham were Iced Out for much of that first half after 25 minutes Harry Kane had four touches in this game four of them England’s best chance in the half maybe even the best chance of the half despite Spain’s dominance was from a free kick in which foden snuck in at the back post to meet it straight into unai Simon’s grasp however not the most dangerous of strikes from the city attacker pretty big waste I mean it was a difficult angle overall at the half it’s a match that I think England would have been happier with than Spain would be they did fairly well to neutralize both yamal and Williams and Spain didn’t really have any clear-cut opportunities in the first 45 if you’re Southgate you’re happy with that also if you’re Southgate you’re happy to be handed a massive massive lifeline and that rodry went off injured at the half that’s an incredible blow he’s Central to any team he plays for zubba meni came in for him no slouch himself a highly Ted and very much in demand Central midfielder but when you’re speaking about rodri you’re speaking about a player who is perhaps the best in the world at his position and one of the most influential players on the pitch basically anyone no matter their skill is considered a downgrade from him that’s the tier he’s in however Spain caught England absolutely sleeping as Williams found himself away from Walker and with some space and as laminal cut inside perhaps the English Defenders were expecting him to strike at goal as is his trademark but he rolled it wide to Williams to slot past pford lovely sweeping attacking movement the first time Spain really managed to unlock England’s backline and it would not be the last time in this match let me tell you that provided a massive quandry for England they had struggled to really dominate the ball in this match and they needed to do so they needed to take the hand bre off but with this Spanish side you commit forward too much and suddenly you’re dealing with yamal Williams Ando running at you and Morata him too but most of the danger comes from the other players mentioned as Morata looks to occupy defenders in the middle and create space for his teammates that’s a vital role that he does really well speaking of him though he would get in behind and outmuscle gahi for an opportunity that he rolled past Pigford but it lacked power and Walker could clear it relatively easily Spain were really really controlling this match still and cutting England open more and more this was way better from Spain in the second half they looked like the team from the rest of the tournament now what’s interesting is that something we talked about on this channel we being myself and you guys in the comments was whether Harry Kane is really even fit in this tournament I think we got our answer in this game as he was hauled off in the 60th minute for the hero of the previous match OE Watkins different profiles as well but the way Kane is moving man’s moving like a statue out there Watkins still a great passer but a little more more robust of a striker faster plays off of the shoulder a bit more can actually move compared to Kane speaking of fast laminal nearly made it 2-0 as he forced a strong save low to pickford’s right if that’s a little bit more in the corner it was a little too Central it’s in that would be sort of a a habit of yamala in this second half but England found themselves back in it when another one of Southgate Subs Cole Palmer saw his strike from the edge of the Box take a Nick off of zubba M’s heel and low P unimon just enough to put it Out Of Reach great great run from Saka but what made this goal was the touch from Bellingham back to Palmer as he was falling over brilliant touch from Bellingham who was easily England’s best player on the night to that point in my opinion the way he was turning away from three Defenders at a time at times was crazy and Cole Palmer what a player maybe should be a starter yamal was at the end of yet another Spanish attack and with pford at his Mercy he once again hit it a little Central he’s a brilliant player but with time he’ll develop his finishing a couple of chances that he perhaps should have finished off as Spain gained more control in this match after conceding that equalizer they started cutting them open over and over again England retreating again looking like they didn’t want to concede or even win it in the 90 and what happens when you do that you will concede against a brilliant team like Spain because a great attacking play from Spain ball forward to a yard sa ball who plays It Wide to kukara on the flank then darts to the box where Kara’s low driven ball was met with the deafest of touches by oror Sabal pass pford it was close was incredibly close to offside as you can see here it’s a game of inches just as with England’s only other chance before the match was up Rice’s header saved by unai Simon then olong with a header off of the line and then Rice’s header Over the Bar Spain end up winning thoroughly deserving to be England as they really should have scored more while England’s chances were quite minimal while across the tournament at large they were the best team by far well Germany was pretty close to them actually but Spain overcame Germany to take it all and deservingly so seven wins from Seven a feat that probably won’t be matched for some time in the European championships it will take something very special to do so that was also their fourth European championship title taking them above who else but Germany their closest rivals in this tournament and in the history of the entire tournament as well man what made me happy with this Spanish team was just that as good as all of the players are they are quality players as evidenced by zubba mendi replacing rodri and Spain still succeeding but when you compare this Spanish side to the absolute Global Mega stars that were part of that Spanish Dynasty from 2008 to 2012 this current iteration doesn’t have that same star power that the previous team did the game-winning goal was scored by Mikel Oar Zabo a fantastic player for ra soad but not a global star at all assisted by kukara a guy who has mostly struggled in recent Seasons bar probably the latter half of this season where he had some moments for Chelsea zubba meni Marino aard Sabal all from real soad ad all players that a lot of people on Twitter will say who the hell are these guys how Spain have fallen those kinds of comments you know not a glamorous team but a team not a disjointed group of individuals that rely on just defending and then getting through based on individual Brilliance from one of their attackers because for all of the praise you can hand Southgate for making two consecutive finals at at the European championships for making I think three semis in four tournaments he has coached England in he has failed to get England playing good football at best you can say that he sorted out their defense for the most part and then has relied on moments of sheer Brilliance from his talented attackers to bail them out of nowhere just look at this stat England created less expected goals at Euro 2024 than Croatia and Croatia was out in the group stages that’s why I call England moments of brilliance FC because England has such a talented team a team that could be lethal in international tournaments with a better Coach that actually has a pattern of play any kind of pattern of play in the attack bailed out by Jude bailed out by sacka then to South Gate’s credit his Subs won the match against the Netherlands his Subs also contributed to the equalizer in this one kind of a no-brainer to bring on two of the Premier League’s best attackers right but he still had to do it so but then after scoring they sit back and play negatively again always reactive never proactive as Southgate Never Had The Bravery really to grab a match and control it despite having such a talented Squad at his disposal I feel for guys like Saka who played with bravery and really really tried to put England on the front foot I feel for Alexander Arnold for different reasons foden he did his best against the Netherlands as well but often it was the subs like Tony Palmer and Watkins that made the difference why because England was constantly on the back foot because England’s man manager didn’t have either The Bravery to play on the front foot or the know how to set them up to do so though the latter is kind of undone by the fact that he made positive changes that brought positive outcomes they could have been playing like that from the beginning for Spain once again I’m super happy for the Spanish side because it’s nice to see the best team win the trophy it’s nice to see the team that tries to play Beautiful attacking football also be the team that ends up winning because that isn’t always the case right it’s nice to see Danny olmo get the Golden Boot despite being second choice for half of the matches rre as player of the tournament also nice to see as players such as him the guys who aren’t again I’ll use that word doing the Glamorous stuff all the time get the recognition they deserve mind you it may not be glamorous stuff but rogery can make it look very beautiful can’t he and also man happy for Alvaro Morata we’ve all had our moments where Morata has frustrated us with his finishing how we’ve laughed at it but now he does the unglamorous things in the attack the things I mentioned before like occupy the defender centrally drawing them out of position so that Williams and yamal and MMO can shine I was really really happy to see him lift that trophy a man who gets a ton of stick but a player I’d love to have in my team assuming I have wide men and others on the pitch that can finish better than he can lamin yamal wins young player of the tournament thoroughly deserved as he turns 17 a day before the final a true truly deserving of the young player title it’s not always that they always kind of stretch that sometimes don’t they and with some cleaner finishing I mean he may have scored in this final which would have just taken things over the top he likely would have snatched that player of the tournament award from his teammate rodri and of course Luis De lafuente deserves a lot of credit for the Spanish side this isn’t tikit taka he set up the team to its strength strong Midfield and wings and they can run through everyone De La Fuente wasn’t exactly a glamorous successor to Luis Enrique either was he DEA fente was very much a company man for Spanish football you know he started with 19s I believe the u21s and then u23s and then the senior side in 2022 and originally his contract was just until the end of Euro 2024 it was very much a trial but he was extended in February of 2024 so once again it’s good to see the best team win and with different Heroes now and then Marino against Germany oart zabal against England big performances from Fabian Ruiz a guy who’s had difficulties finding himself at Club football kuara playing some of the best football he’s played in the last few years and then the Stars on top of that so guys congratulations to Spain and third times the charm for England maybe you just need a manager that will set you up for more than just hanging around in matches and actually being brave taking your game to the other team for a team that’s called The Three Lions they don’t really play like them do they well I guess that’s it then isn’t it I got to say it again thank you to everyone for watching the series for tuning in for commenting for disagreeing for subscribing if you’re new I always look forward to these International tournaments because I I love getting engrossed in it and giving you guys as much coverage as one man can pull off without burning out so thank you for watching with that in mind summers’s here the new season begins in August well Champions League qualification has already begun but I need a little break before we jump into the new season so I don’t burnout don’t expect anything else from me this week maybe not next week either as I want to see friends get some projects done around the house maybe play some golf just chill out I don’t know but again thank you guys so much for everything it’s really appreciated and I will see you in the not sood distant future for the last time in this tournament I’m Adrien thank you for watching take care [Music] a

Spain are CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE after beating England 2 – 1 in the Euro 2024 final. Spain went ahead through Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams combining, and despite a Cole Palmer equalizer, they cut England open once again to win the match and the tournament. This was Spain’s 4th European Championship title, the most ever won by a nation.

  1. Je suis sincèrement reconnaissant d'avoir l'opportunité de dialoguer avec des personnes aussi intelligentes et réfléchies. C'est un privilège.😚

  2. Bellingham was terrible, so many misplaced passes in good positions. Great progressive dribbler but his ego is to big and he cant pass a ball to save his life unless its a layoff

  3. Gareth has done what he could and it wasnt completely bad; by far the best records in englands recent history but he most definitely needs to go and be replaced with a manager who knows how to win a final

  4. Bellingham was a lot like ronaldo this tournament (no hate to cr7) constantly nagging and whining for set pieces and penalties but doing little on the pitch

  5. Lets be completely frank here. England has been gifted a rose petal strewn runway to the last two Euro finals and 2018WC semifinals. They had no serious opposition in their bracket, ZERO!!! They are ridiculously overrated by an Englishcentic media. Their league is imho, the best league in the world, but it largely benifits from importing talent from abroad, coaching included. The players if I’m honest are good, but certainly not brilliant, with a few exception like Bellingham( who lets be honest, was shit outside of the brilliant goal) Alexander-Arnold( who was invisible for large parts) Foden( completely underwhelming) They are not as talented as the media would have you believe.

  6. A team usually takes the personality of its manager 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in this instance Southgate's conservative and pragmatic football 💯 Felicidades to Spain 🇪🇸🏆 Champions of Europe‼️ VAMOS

  7. Morata super underrated with a crazy ass trophy cabinet I rather have a winner like him then a crap one like kane and win nothing 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. People judge players by prestige . Once they are not playing the epl .they're not that good as the epl players. Football is played on the pitch and spain outplayed every single team . Which means their players are better than many may think. It's either you good or not .

  9. Spain showed that playing attacking football rewards the team. Spain defeating England is the victory of exciting football over snooze-fest haramball.

Gareth Southgate should no longer be England manager. He's had easy routes to the final in two Euros and lost in both. He doesn't know how to beat good teams with such a great England squad.
The British media is obsessed with Southgate as if he's some kind of messiah for English football. Give the same squad to someone like Mourinho, he'll work wonders.

  10. I actualy dont think england was that bad in first half. They were cautious but they had their moments, and spain was having a lot of trouble connecting play specialy because rodri was under a lot of pressure from england, which southgate surely had a hand in. And it was working. But then rodri goes out injured, and spain comes to the 2nd half ready to destroy.

  11. Hey Adrian, enjoyed your coverage of the competition. Enjoy your break and I'll see you next season. Hoping for more watch alongs with you, those are always fun.

  12. Guehi, Mainoo, Pickford, even Stones and Palmer. Saka wasn't even close to England's best player offered nothing 90% of the time 😂😂

  13. Angry at how bad England played in the tournament. Not taking anything away from Spain though. England might never have a team this good again for awhile.

  14. Good for morata the kids saved his ass, i still can't believe how morata is 3goals away from a hattrick, not to mention they made him as their captain 🤦🏻, they should've made oyarzabal as their main striker in the next competition, even joselu will play better than morata if they let him play.

  15. Spain were the best team in the tournament and deserved to win. It's sad we had to watch Foden stink it up every single game and not see Palmer get a single start. This tournament showed this needs to be Southgate's last tournament. He's way too passive as a manager and for the talent that England have, they should be playing on the front foot more
