Bellingham is highly overrated. He looks good at Madrid and Dortmund because they are the top teams but all he is good at is diving.What did he do in this euros. "We build him up to be a superstar" and here lies your problem lauding him as some generational player when he's just another talent with an incredible ego.
There was nothing wrong with Bellinghams work ethic, if he looked uninspiring it was because of other reasons, team set up, end of season Blues. I think we could have got much more for our Bellingham playing him deeper along side rice and Mainoo.
Obviously he can play a 10 at real Madrid, but then they have the best midfield and defense in the world.
Southgate is right we have missed kalvin Philipps. Playing Bellingham as an 8 might have done a bit more to compensate for that.
Being Stuck out on the left, meant we could not profit from ball winning aspect of his game from deeper positions. Think rice would have been much happier too.

The sudden hate for Jude is why we never achieve anything. He’s got that dog in him that isn’t very English and proper, the same people who hyped him up are now trying to tear him down. England doesn’t know how to deal with superstars, that’s why we’ll never produce players like Messi or Ronaldo. Bellingham could be that guy for us but he’s already having to deal with unnecessary hate from limp fans.

It does appear all about Bellingham. He didn't have a good tournament as did his team mates. Yes we know he's a good player. His record to date highlights this. If I was an advisor to Bellingham I would today be saying to him. Chill. Just play. Stay grounded. Don't make any noise. Maybe then you will become one of the best. But there are red flags and enough to trigger a dislike.

This comes across as argumentative.
It isn't a popularity contest. Bellingham might rub people up the wrong way but it's manager's job to make it work because he's that good. Bellingham has a winners mindset like Michael Jordan, Southgate does not.
Bellingham is an outstanding player, you don't go to Madrid and have the season he had by luck. However, he always wants to be the center of attention which is fine as long as it is not hurting the team, he is absolutely exhausted after 30 minutes because he overdoes it trying to be the start of the show. Football is a team sport individuals won't win it we have had so many great talents in England's past but if you don't gel well as a team you won't win international tournaments. I hope he grows and learns he is instrumental to our team but needs to change his attitude in fact other teams have this issue too whereby certain "Superstar" players are holding them back. England has great talent we just need synergy as a team and we can win a major tournament.
They were spending so much time building Bellingham up , I knew they would try to create agenda against Bellingham to knock him down, he has gone from wise beyond his years to now a spoilt brat to the media . with the black athletes they always seem to create a narrative that they are trouble makers and a law to themselves.
