Those rankings were based on owners, coaches, GMs and other executives opinions. They are shared by the wider fan base. Yes Rodgers closed the deal 1 time no thanks to him and it was like 14 years ago.
Aron Rodgers used to be better. Right now Rodgers isn’t top 10. He is old and he tore his Achilles tendon.

Why does anyone think that Logan Wilson had a down year? Yea his PFF grade wasn’t as good but let’s look at the stats. 135 tackles, 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Sack, 9 Pass Deflections, 4 Interceptions. That’s a career high in Tackles, in Forced Fumbles, in Pass Deflections, and ties a career high interceptions. So I think it’s bullshit to say he had a bad year. If it was so bad why is he having career highs in almost all catagorys?! Oh and he tied a career high in Tackles for Loss to with 5.

You say Logan wasn’t very good in coverage last year? How do you explain the 9 pass breakups which is a career high and the 4 interceptions which tied a career high? Do you know how many linebackers had at least 4 interceptions last year? 1. Logan Wilson. He was screwed up last year because of all the youth around him. 2 rookie safety’s 1 rookie CB and another 2nd year CB. They all work together in unison. They had Dax Hill who had never played Free safety before and they expected him to be Jessie Bates I guess. That’s not Dax’s fault. Things will be much better this year. And in 2025 Dax Hill will be the starting nickel CB and Jordan Battle will be the starting Strong Safety. Geno Stone will still be here but when his contract is up I’m hoping that Tycen Anderson can become the new Free Safety. He has tremendous size and is the fastest safety on the team. He is 6’2’’ 209 and runs 4.36. Perfect safety in my opinion. Dax is built more like a CB in my opinion. He has the size to play safety but he moves more like a CB because at Michigan that’s what he played is Nickel CB and Stromg Safety some too in the box. He was never a free roaming free safety.

This is what I would do. I would cut Zach Carter and stick him on the practice squad. I would tell Cam Sample to get his weight up from 272 to 285 or 286 and play him primarily inside. I would keep on the edge Hendrickson, Hubbard, Murphy, Ossai, and rookie Cedric Johnson. At DT tackle I would keep Rankins, Hill, Jenkins, Jackson, Sample. And Sample can still take some edge snaps but he would have more inside snaps. No fucking way am I cutting Joseph Ossai. If we cut or waive him he will immediately be picked up by another team. I don’t think Zach Carter will. If we cut or waive Cam Sample he stands a better chance of not being picked up than Ossai does. Ossai has been working directly with Trey Hendrickson all offseason. He is ready to explode! He missed his rookie year with injury. In his first pre season game Ossai beats Tristan Wirfs and sacks Tom Brady. Yea they play their starters in pre season and we need to as well. Ossais second year 2022 he was pretty dam good. He had 17 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 touchdown, and 2 pass deflections in about 300 snaps. That’s pretty good production. And he gets hurt in the last game of 2022. He was playing hurt in the AFC Championship. So he had surgery in the offseason and last year didn’t play much. Now he has had a healthy offseason for the first time. Kind of like Joe Burrow.
I think Ossai and Cedric Johnson make the team. I think it will play out like I said before. They either put Zach Carter on the practice squad and give his spot to Cam Sample OR they cut Cam Sample and sign him to the practice squad. The reason I say that is because I think Johnson is going to be a good pass rusher on day 1. He is big young at 21 explosive with a 39 inch vertical 6’3’’ 265 and he is fast he ran a 4.63. Not as fast as Murphy though and Ossai ran a 4.62 and has a 41.5 inch vertical and almost an 11 foot broad jump!! That is insanely explosive. Johnson is explosive with a 38 inch vertical and 10’2’’ broad jump Ossai is absurdly explosive with a 41.5 inch vertical and 10’11’’ broad jump. I think our team is better with both of these guys. However or whatever you may think of Joseph Ossai I think anyone would agree that he is better than and has played better than Zach Carter. Now I don’t want to give up on Zach Carter by any means. I want him to go to the practice squad this year. Odds are he will have to play in at least 2 or 3 games this year and then next offseason when BJ Hill leaves hopefully Carter has developed more to the point that he can be a starting level Defensive tackle. He had another disadvantage coming into the league because at Florida he played primarily on the edge and here he plays almost completely on the inside. It’s a position change none the less.

Logan Wilson in my opinion is somewhere between 6-10 in the LB rankings. How the hell did Bolton get the number 5 ranking? If KC could trade him for Logan Wilson they would do that tommorow. No Linebacker in the NFL gets as many interceptions as Logan Wilson.
