60 is to much
Too much, indeed.
Désiré Doué got 4 gls and 4 assists in 31 matches this season and Rennes want 60 million?
I mean, you could say that that's decent for a 19 yr old but for me you either have it or you don't.
It's a huge gamble to pay that kind of money for the kid as you don't know if he'll end up being prolific as a winger/striker. The fact is now that foreign clubs are putting astronomical prices on underage players like Archie Gray for 40 million. Adam Wharton cost 35 million, Alex Scott cost 25 million last season. The way things are going, clubs will have to try and judge if these players are going to be stars and then sign them at 16 instead of 18 to 20 because the current asking prices are too high.
There's no way Bayern are going to pay 60 million for a 19 year old who's only scored 4 goals and 4 assists in 31 games. That's below average and the all that's happening here is that he's developed quicker than players who are of similar age than him. But, he's no Wayne Rooney who if he was playing today at 16 to 17 yrs of age, he would have justified this sort of price tag.
I mean Endrick who scores bags of goals just went to Real Madrid for 60 million but he can back up that price tag, where as this Désiré Doué doesn't do that for me. Wayne Rooney was a beast at 16 and 17, Endric the same but Desire Doue leaves a lot to be desired for me.
