very enjoyed this interview. especially when he talked about his philosophy of football coaching is to implement a style that suits the strengths of the players at his disposal, not use one style and try to make players play in a what that doesn’t suit them. used Pickford launching balls up to Calvert-Lewelyn at Everton as an example. also said team must both defend well and attack well, but if the defenders spend more time on the ball than midfielders and attackers then something is wrong. also talked about England being a very good team and only need one small change in something to take them further. so many other things that’s insightful to the way he thinks. Mikel’s podcast has taken off and it’s nice to see as well
