EDIT: largely because it looked like we deserved the win. Felt like we were good in possession even though we couldn’t create chances in the second half. Hopefully the necessary creativity comes with fitness. I can think of 2 passes that, had they been better touches, create shots on goal and probably like .70 xg. But a bit of rust negated those possibilities.

Feels like last season all over again. Positive signs, clearly got the talent, played some nice stuff, deserved the win, but didn’t. It’s that ‘but didn’t’ that will put us in a relegation fight again if we don’t learn to fucking hold a lead.

New season, same old shit. Can’t kill off a game. Can’t seem to find that second goal when we have momentum. Always feel there is a mistake in the defence. There were some bright points but playing out of the back remains an issue. Too often we gave it away and put ourselves under pressure. This is already two points dropped in what will be a dogfight of a relegation battle.

Fucking Bournemouth every time… We looked great in the first half but died off quickly. I’m glad it was 1-1 and an ankle injury and not 2-1 but gutted we didn’t get the win and we had chances to bury the game early. There’s hope it’s not 3-2 COYR.🔴

Way too many familiar flaws on show.
Vulnerable at set pieces. Far too negative with a lead without the facilities to defend it. Substitutions might have upset the rhythm.
Another weekend ruined. I’d have just about swallowed the Danilo injury if we’d won.

I think it’s been a very good game, particularly given the Bournemouth goal was down to Murillo’s face being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Could have done with the 3 points but just unlucky this time.

toffolo not good enough, why on earth he is on a premier league pitch i do not know. kicks the ball into the middle of the box on his weaker foot and it hits our player instead of literally anything else.

We looked really good going forward here and there, when Elanga went off I thought we lost that a little though. Murillo and Boly were good, but they got in down our right a lot. Neco had a tough game. Guy puts a hell of a shift in every game though.

So many positives but only 1 point. Can’t remember when we last beat this lot (surely not that preseason friendly like 6 years ago). Need to work on creating better chances, worked well in getting opportunities but they weren’t amazing chances and they weren’t to the right people, think almost all of our starters ended up having a shot.
Just hope Danilo is ok. Feel like he’s our best midfielder so huge blow but Yates was great when he came on even if Oliver decided to call every foul against him.
