We lost Jota on the Wing; we cannot lose Reo, Reo Hatate now too – especially on the back of Matt O’Riley leaving.

Still think he’d be shite in the PL despite being very good for us.
He gives the ball away far too easily, which is okay in Scotland because teams just punt it back to us within 10 seconds. You notice it in the CL, when he turns over possession against a good team there it makes a big difference.
I don’t think we could command a good fee for him either, and in that respect I think it would hurt us more than O’Riley leaving.

Celtic sell marvelously well. They truly do. Pumping the cash back in is a different story though. For 20 years the club has been defined by a strategy of just enough domestically and it would be interesting to see what the ceiling might be if they loosened the handbreak.

Watching the start of the season thinking “Oh fuck yes, we’re playing some nice football!” then 2 games in there’s potential of losing Reo and O’Riley. Fuck. Imagine losing your two most creative midfielders with 12 days of transfer window left….
