Seems to tell me as well that Lascelles/Trips might be leaving soon. As Lascelles wasn’t even dropped as captain when he wasn’t playing so doubt it’s a decisions which Howe would have made lightly.

I had figured that Bruno was captain because Trippier wasn’t 100% fit, but I guess not. I wonder what’s going on.
Having said that, congratulations to Bruno for earning that armband. I can’t think of a more deserving player.

So actually reading the article says they’ve made a new role for Lacelles called Club Captain. Bruno is the Team Captain when they’re on the pitch and Trips is still the Vice Captain.
Suggests to me that they really want Lacelles to stay for the lads but he’s almost never gonna play.

My personal opinion but there’s always something different about the Teams whose captain isn’t their star player or the most skillful one. Rather it’s the one who’s decent and goes underrated most of the time
