Consider these factors:
1. PSG decided to pursue Neymar as a result of the game.
2. Neymar left Barca as a result of the pressure from PSG and wanting to “find a new challenge”
3. MSN was dismantled at its peak and before Neymar’s career peak.
4. Finding Neymar replacement arguably ruined the clubs finances in irreparable ways and we did not reinforce other parts of the squad.
5. PSG went out of their way since to spite and sabotage Barca any chance they got.
6. Messi’s peak was never rewarded with a champions league trophy (17/18,18/19)
7. Barcelona’s board made the worst transfers in club football history in Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann.
8. The money used to buy Coutinho funded the formation of the greatest Liverpool side of all time that ended up winning a champions league trophy, premier league and reach 3 UCL finals in 5 years.
9. Barca became fully subservient to Messi after the departure of Neymar and gave him and club de amigos some of the highest salaries in sports history and appointed a manager with no discipline, who arguably ruined the professional athletic culture of the club built by the like of Cruyff and Guardiola.
10. Barca’s financial situation was almost fully destroyed and Messi was forced to leave.
11. Barca’s reputation is permanently tarnished by the way they’ve handled dealing with finances and how they have dealt with players who they have inflated wages.
