Buy-back option is interesting, I swear we never normally bother with them with most of our young players

  2. That’s actually decent? Almost 7m. I don’t see us buying him back but if he somehow turns out amazing we’d be able to get him at his peak later on or get that 45% sell on

Shame to see him go I think there’s a player in there but also not a bad deal for us

  4. Can anyone explain how does the buy-back option work ? Does it mean we can buy him back within three years for how much ?

  5. What I like about this deal is it tells Facu that he could be excellent, we’re just not the ones who can get him there

Wait… Surely you mean 500k, with a 10% sell on clause, whilst we pay 70% of his wages?

    Are… We competent again?

  7. Signed for €10 million leaves for €8 million. But it’s still profit on the books right?

Wow that seems like a good fee!!!
Best wishes to Pellistri hope he shines and adds more facets to his game

  9. I think the focus seem very clear for youth players, lower fees + massive sell ons and buy backs. It makes easier for deals to go through as the buying club are not financially stressed.

  10. Assuming this is 45% on profit from sales rather than flat but that’s still a cracking deal overall

  11. Hoping Lindelof, Eriksen, Hannibal and Sancho leave as well, and we sign Ugarte. I wouldn’t be mad if we get the McT deal through as well on our own terms. Going into the new season with 22-24 players + Wheatley, Amass, Collyer, Gore would be awesome. Lean and hungry squad.

    Edit: Forgot to add Lindelof

  12. I knew buying him and Amad would pay off some how because one of them was bound to make it and the other could be sold for a decent fee

Looking at the buy-back clause it looks like the football hierarchy still believe in Pellistri’s potential.

We are now negotiating and selling players like a proper football club. I feel like this is just a dream.

Wow so this season marks the first since 2019 that we’ll have no Dan Jameses in the squad (Welsh, Uruguayan, or otherwise)!
