Yeah this tracks. I’ve been mentioning his name recently with the talk of Sepp and Joe leaving.
We were linked by their tier 1’s at the same point we apparently had a bid accepted for Gomez earlier in the window.
So it seems like Simakan is probably our main choice for replacing Gomez should that sale happen.

If we get him, are we thinking, possibly, that frees us some opportunities for TAA as a midfielder option? I know I know, most people don’t want to entertain this, but surely we are not getting rid of Bradley and three RB’s is excessive, even if one is a bit of CB option as well. This would further take the signing of a potential midfielder off the table. If that’s the case I hope we prioritize an RW/LW in this window too.

I like the idea. Primarily a CB that can play at RB if needed. I dunno if he can play LB as well but maybe that means we move for 2 CBs. One that covers RB and one that covers LB?

tier? cuz i want to believe, we need depth at CB…yes i know this is a knee jerk reaction from me about Quansah getting benched but looks like SLOT is not messing around with those who just dont work. if thats the case we will need cover.

isnt he like another gomez? a cb/rb hybrid, would get the same use probably but if he’s ok with being a swiss army knife for us then I’m okay tbh, this is just a younger more attacking version of joemez.
