Remember when we beat them 3-0 and he was directly responsible for all the goals 😂😂

Having a 33,35 and 39 year old right back would also be immaculate vibes

  2. Well he’s not good anymore, but at least he’s less injury prone than every other right back we have.

He’s still performing levels above any of our other RBs and it’s just a loan. Assuming we aren’t paying insane wage coverage, this would be a FANTASTIC move for us this year. Market is limited and so are the funds

Cover at right and left back at a level above Young. Gets us to the summer and allows us to then focus our efforts there.

  5. This is 100% going to happen. Old Burnley player, selling team need to raise funds, we have no RBs, dyche will love that.

I’m not against it but he’s probably on a decent wage, has looked bad for the last 6 months at least and would still be a short term solution.

As a creative RB, it would give a lot of cover for us in the short term, plus someone who isn’t Mason Holgate

Big step up for him at that age. Hope he can handle it.

Covers RB and LB, means we don’t have to rely on Young. Means we can sell Holgate and reinvest in midfielder or attack. Feels like a good option.

Ends the Dixon debate too. He can go on loan and have a bit of space and time to develop.

  8. Despite his obvious flaws, trippier looks like Gareth Bale next to Ashley young. It’s a no brainer of an upgrade.

Still a quality player, good leader and fantastic set piece delivery. I’d do a loan in heartbeat, he’s an enormous improvement on what we have now.

Defensively, he’ll have his challenges—then again, which of our right backs doesn’t? But imagine Trippier whipping in those free kicks to our towering meat head centre backs. That’s a recipe for some serious chaos in the box.

  11. him whipping in crosses would probably be a boon for DCL at least. don’t love it, don’t trust him to stay healthy, but we need literally anyone at RB and he’s still levels about young/coleman

Have thought he’s overrated for the past couple of years. Plus the age thing. Are we only allowed to sign 30+ year old RBs?

  13. Dyche has openly said he’s his favourite player ever, and whenever Dyche gets brought up Trippier gets a big cheesy, and we could use some experience in that position. The stars have aligned.

  14. Would be a great cover for both sides on loan. Probably not match ready though, considering he only played 68 min of preseason match because of his break after the Euros.
