  1. Hi gang, welcome to the “just one more old right back bro. I promise bro, one more and then we’re good” edition of the press conference.

    Summary:

    – Branthwaite still a bit away, not close to being involved yet. Tarkowski is a maybe on if he’ll be involved, he picked up a minor injury.

    – Garner has just started training again with the group but sounded like he won’t be involved, Coleman is getting closer as well.

    – Same question as always asking Dyche if he’s had an update about the ownership of the club, and as always he responds that he’s not kept in the loop on these things.

    – Unlikely that the final week of the transfer window will be a busy one for us. The club are happy with the business done, and unless something changes it will stay that way.

    – They think that Ndiaye, Lindstrøm and Tim are all talented players, but ones who didn’t get many minutes last season and it takes time to get them up to premier league speed. Tim joined early on in the window, so had a full preseason and impressed, which is why they’ve put him in a bit earlier.

    – Dyche was a bit dismissive on Tripper links: “He’s one of many names that’s come up here. As if by magic his name comes up when we don’t have a right back available.”.
Went on to say they aren’t going to make a kneejerk decision on an issue that might just be for one game (Young suspended for one game and Coleman’s injury is short term).

    – They want to do behind closed doors games for Dele, but he’s still not ready for that. They won’t go down the road of deciding if he’ll stay longer term until he’s ready to play.

    – Dyche denied that what he said about fans leaving early was a criticism. Said it was just a reality that when you’re 3-0 down and down to 10 men fans won’t see a way back in the game and might want to leave. Dyche said that he’s never criticised the fans since he’s been here.

I swear to god we have no players left, if ndiaye and lindstrom don’t start we might as well field 8 men because that’s all we have left

I’ve never liked the “not up to premier league speed”. Holgate isn’t up to championship speed but gets a game.

That international break cannot come soon enough, need Branthwaite and one or more of Coleman, Patterson or Garner back asap if we don’t secure the Trippier loan.
