    Big chances are defined as:

A situation where a player should reasonably be expected to score, usually in a one on one scenario or from very close range when the ball has a clear path to goal and there is low to moderate pressure on the shooter. Penalties are always considered big chances. Direct Free Kick for Goals/Shots.

Bruno & Garnacho both have missed 2 each & are joint top with few others

  2. So many big chances missed in the first game.

As a coach, what do you do:

    A) Change the lineup in the second game.

    B) Start the Striker that were sitting in the bench in the first game.

    C) Starts the same lineup, and starts your best attacking midfielder as False 9, the same from week 1 and hope for the best.

If you choose C, you are correct

I still don’t think we create enough chances, not necessarily big chances but just shooting opportunities for the wingers

Not apropos of the stats here necessarily , but a little vent from me…

There’s a lot of excellent insight, contribution and conversation to be had in this sub. I really appreciate being able to connect with United fans and have good discussion. I’ve learned a lot about the game from coming here, and feel it adds a lot to following United (as I have done for 35 years).

That being said, for me, this place is insufferable after a loss. Pithy comments about sacking the manager for not getting a win away to Brighton in an early kickoff with so many things still to work on – and for the first time in his tenure, working with a proper structure around him.

I’m all for listening and understanding fans point of views if they differ from mine if there’s rationale and proper discussion behind it. But 3 word sentences about sacking the manager getting upvoted, and people speaking reasonably to the contrary being downvoted makes me feel the vast majority here are entitled and petty. I know that’s not the case, but it just feels that way.

I know nothing I write here will make a shit of difference to how things pan out after a loss, but it’s just such a shame to read sometimes that I wanted to vent. Appreciate those with a bit more patience and perspective on these things. And I’m looking forward to seeing us start to convert these chances an kick on this season. I’m confident on that.

Anyway… I’m sure this will get tanked, so bring it on 😂

    GGMU!!!

  5. I wonder if this increase in the offside thing is due to ruud giving out some instructions which the players haven’t yet completely perfected. I haven’t really seen rashford being this prone to offsides before

  6. I still think the biggest problem with our defense and our pressing is the concentration. Why are our players keep having these lapse of concentration? Fatigue? Brainfart? Tired ?
