      The article says we are paying €1.5m for the loan. I would assume the contract extension is to facilitate an option to buy next summer.

      Spent last season on loan at Levante in the 2nd division in Spain, 29 appearances. Was part of first team pre-season at Barca but has been pushed out of the picture by Gerard Martin, another youth product.

      No clue about him as a player but I have no problem with this as an idea as long as there’s an option to buy.

      Loan with option to buy from these elite academies is perfect for us and has worked very well recently. If we’ve no option though we’re just back to square one next summer and even worse if GT doesn’t renew.

      Edit: supposed €3m release clause and just seen all the Barca fans saying he’s a great player and they seem disappointed not to keep him. Fuck it I’m all in đŸ«Ą

      Another edit: gone further down the rabbit hole of watching a yt video, all I can say is pler. Get him signed Mr.Celtic

      I know there will be moaning about it being a straight loan but let’s wait and see if he’s any good first.

      The fact it’s taken this long suggests he’s not been top of the list of targets but hopefully he smashes it.

      A 19yo on loan doesn’t inspire me with confidence. GT3 still 1st choice this season.

      No option to buy after having just signed a new barca deal. Not exactly thrilled by this. Rather develop our own talent than someone else’s

      Barcelona fans on twitter seem to really like the kid & apparently he’s had a great pre-season for them so hopefully that’s a sign he’s decent!

      If this is a loan without an option then it’s fucking pointless. Greg Taylors contract is up next summer so all we’re doing is kicking the can down the road.

      good business. the issue with bringing in a permanent left back is taylor getting unsettled which would leave us needing 2 LBS
