Unfortunately a loan, no idea if there’s an option, but seems promising as competition with Taylor. Mind ye, would prefer a permanent option ala Owen Beck.

Such short-term thinking, 6 months we’ve only had one left back at the club, and he’s out of contract at the end of the season, so we may need to try and find 2 left back in next summer

I mean, I guess it’s cover for the position (I have no clue how good this guy is). But it doesn’t strike me as being a long term solution – both Taylor and this guy could be leaving at the same time next year. Surely we’d be better bringing in a permanent option and give them the year to compete with Taylor and become accustomed to the environment?

I get it’s a loan but I’m fairly happy with this, gives us an extra option and if he turns out to be good Barca would probably let him go considering he’s only contracted till 2026. Would assume the extension is just a way of getting an extra bit of cash for him.
