  1. Why not keep him if we’re not going to sign a Def. He’d end up playing a lot of games.

  2. Good move for him, people forget he’s played 11 league games for us.

But says a lot that Salzburg are looking at Bajcetic (who is more highly rated by some on here) whilst the German Champions are looking at Morton.

We really need another midfield option though if we let both of these leave.

With him and Morton looking to be out the door we should 100% be getting a new midfielder in.

    Right guys? Guys??

Also says that we’re still in negotiations with Leverkusen over a loan with an obligation to buy for Morton.

Would hope we look to bring somebody in then

  5. As good of a talent as he is, I think people forget he hasn’t played consistent football full stop for 18 months. It’ll take him a season of game time just to get to the level he used to be at. Good move though.

That feels too low for him when teams in top 5 leagues like Celta Vigo wanted him.

Also feels like it makes no sense unless Gourna-Douth is leaving

  7. Unusual for a Red Bull team to want to take a player on loan without a route to profiting on them, but I guess it’s a Pep ask. Hope he gets lots of minutes and progresses!

  8. Great move for him.

Clearly showed he had the ability, but has been poor since returning from injury.

Solid season will let us know if he will be back.

  9. Good move, not the best league but he just needs games and they’ll get CL too. A loan was awkward for him as he needs games but not a manager that won’t care about how he is physically so Pep is perfect, he’ll look after him.

Great deal to be honest. He gets a coach who knows him and where he can excel, can get some game time in his legs and we have a young player gaining experience with a team which is suited to letting talents flourish and grow.

Good loan, has the potential but really needs to bulk up physically and get used to playing week in week out.

I started to believe Zubimendi will eventually be here after winter transfer.

  13. So my guess for the current hierarchy for the double pivot we’ve got the two current starters Mac on the right side, Grav on the left. Then Jones probably second choice with Endo and Szoboszlai both capable of playing there too. Feels very lightweight for 4 competitions especially if Morton and Bajetic are off. We HAVE to be bringing someone in, even as a stop gap right?

  14. Hopefully he gets played as an 8. I don’t rate how much running Lijnders wants from his 6,and Stef is just back from a massive lay off

  15. Has to be said, Fabrizio has been on it for the past couple of days. Where are the Tier 1s?

  16. I have a feeling Gomez has been offered multiple backup roles, including no 6. That’s why he is not leaving and bacjetic is on loan.

Moving him will be good for his development, but for goodness’ sake, we need more midfielders as soon as possible.

Surprised we’re letting him go out on loan even though I know his opportunities would be somewhat limited here.

Then again, after his injury issues a full season playing regularly should do his development a world of good. Let the Bacjetic loan watch begin.

Brilliant move for him that, if he can stay injury free.

Lijnders clearly a huge fan so should give him plenty of opportunities, and hopefully knowing Clark should help him settle.

  20. Oof I don’t like this. One or two injuries and we’re giga cooked. We’ll soon be playing Mo in a double pivot

  21. The tap in merchant & bloody DaveOckop seem to be the first movers on 90% of our rumours nowadays lmao
