      GOAT potential, didn’t have the longevity of a Messi or CR7. But he did reach that level for a time, so you can say his potential wasn’t wasted

      Barella or Bastoni could be the players with the most potential. R9 was unlucky with injuries but was for me the most talented players we ever had I would argue.

      Ronaldo of course, no one could compare to him, and he didn’t waste anything, just he had injuries and even fat and without knees just with pure talent he was still a great player in Real after the Inter experience.

      I’m gonna say Diego Milito, he came in the year that Ibra, Crespo, Suazo and Cruz all left the club, he was very promising in his consistency before then, but never had the chance to prove himself at a continental level. We gave him the keys to our attack and the rest is history

      It has to be Ronaldo. He is the best striker ever, only injuries stopped him. Adriano had insane potential. He probably wins the “wasted potential” award, but pure potential has to be R9.

      I see the distintion between wasted potential (drinking, partying, poor choices in general) and most potential (ruined by circumstances outside of the player’s control) clear.

      The player with most potential we ever witnessed was Ronaldo. He could have had a Messi/CR7 style career if his body didn’t abandon him when he was 21.
