In the hat that’s all that matters. Dominant but finishing was horrendous.
Would love a Coach Cam video to see what Kelly Smith actually does because I see zero improvement since she was brought in. Just because you’re a legend and amazing player don’t make you a good coach.

Not the most convincing, but a win is a win. I’ll take this outcome over last year’s.

Players need to recognise game state more imo.
First half when it was entirely them vs statues the flicks and tricks and short passes were alright. Go into the second half and there’s even less movement, not just from them but from us as well. Short passes yes but you need to move to move them. Else it’s like playing traffic cones that can tackle. Then when you’re 1-0 up and they’re gaining momentum you don’t play funny funny passes at the back. Confidence is great and all but this is the same stage that we exited the CL last season. Sure you want to take that risk?

Russo looked like Jackson and somehow played 90 minutes.

My own personal bar is in the floor but I am just so relieved that we’re not having a repeat of last year that I could cry rn

Great win overall but unnecessary nervy 2nd half. Some of our build up looks promising to break down deep block, hopefully we will work more on it. My POTM is Kyra, she’s claiming her position in the current team. On to the next round with 2 legs affair, that will be where the true test begins.

I still think this performance was better than almost all of our games from last season where we also had problems with finishing. You can clearly see different ideas and patterns now, more variety, so at least thats promising.
But, we need to stop playing stupid passes right into the middle. The amount of times that ball was played and no one was ready for it, almost leading to very dangerous turnovers… crazy, especially in the last 5 minutes… what are we doing.

Nothing to say except we move. Finishing just abysmal from everyone. We can’t play like this if we face the likes of barca.
