      There’s a reason we took a chance on him. We saw flashes of it, but it wasn’t consistent. I don’t see him coming back, but maybe he’s found his place in Italy, will be successful and happy, and get a nice little fee for the club. As long as we get more than the 8m we spent on him, it was a good bit of business to take a chance on him.

      He’s a decent player. He just isn’t a defender.

      People said similar things at the start of his spell at Marseille and (to an extent) here.

      I’ve always been of the opinion that Nuno is a defensive version of Joelinton. Put him in the CM role and he’ll flourish. I’ve watched him bomb forward and he’s brilliant.
