Nothing will ever convince me that Ronaldo, Van Basten, Lewandoski, Romario are better strikers then Gerd Müller.

  1. So you are comparing Muller to Ronaldo (I assume the Brazilian) and Romario, and then to prove the point you give a slide showing that Muller – unlike two Brazilians – won Euro (together with other trophies)? Maybe I missed something, but as long as those two remain Brazilians it would take quite a convincing indeed to prove that they also won Euros. I am not saying one of them is worse/better than Muller, just this point does not make any sense. How on earth can Romario win Euros or Ronaldo be a top scorer on Euro tournament? Just for the context, e.g. Ronaldo won 2x WC and 2x equivalent of Euros (only international trophies).

  2. I’ll forever maintain that the reason Muller, Matthaus, Beckenbauer are not globally regarded as the GOATs, especially in their respective positions, is simply because they’re German. Yes, they’re all held in high regard, but nowhere near as talked about as they should be.

The never will be a better one. Bearing in mind he roamed in a time when defenders were basically breaking bones of strikers, in the beginning even before substitutions became a thing. Plus he was a humble and down-to-earth guy who hated the spotlight.
