I know it’s the NLD, but if the plan was to promote Nwaneri if Ode ever get’s injured and we’re now in a bit of a midfield crisis, it’d be mixed messaging to play someone out of position to avoid playing him.
Idk if I’d start him, Idk if it was the right choice to have him as a direct back up. But now that we’re in this unfortunate predicament, put your money where your mouth is I guess.

Pires has rattled this sub, but he might be on to something here. Two years ago, if you had said Palmer was better than Saka or Martinelli, you’d have been laughed at. Now not so much. Maybe he sees Doku’s potential.

Maybe not for Spurs, but this has to be Nwaneri’s time to get minutes. Plenty of youngsters have had played in big games. Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb more recently, but even someone like Rashford got thrown on against us back in 2016.
If Nwaneri is the talent we claim him to be, then play him.
