Hold on hold on. I get it. Yamal is more consistent and has wider functionality than Fati had. But… For some reason, it was more entertaining to watch Fati, he was like a bullet: quick, precise and lethal. Also had a couple clutch moments. Overall, I think if hadn't had that injuries he would become number 10s successor. The reason I post this is that, in my opinion, some people are overhyped with this kid. I mean he's good, but still 17, maybe don't consider him "the best in the squad and club legend in the future" right now?!
Man I wish Fati comes back at least with the half he had before all these injuries.

  1. Different players. Fati is/was a goal machine, a true scorer, and Lamine is mainly an assistant according to his numbers. I would love to see Fati as a 9 instead of a LW since he’s less explosive now, and we would see how much these two could work together.

  2. Yeah sure, a robotic goalscorer with few flashes of brilliance better than an all round technical prodigy with insane decision making at this age.

  3. You opinion is valid, fati was more like scoring goals, first touch and quick movement but yamal is better dribbler, amazing assists, better passing, whenever he is on the ball something can happen whetever he is 40 meters away from the goal or in the box. I personally more like yamal.

  4. Lamine is way more fun to watch because lamine is very intelligent. His actions always make sense. I feel like lamine is way better than fati ever was and ive been saying this before hé won euros. Fati played with messi which made it more fun. But individually i would appreciate a player like lamine way more. Fati was making it a big fati show while lamine yamal is a teamplayer.

    Wtf are you talking about?
Yamal is an insane dribbler and passer, how can someone be more entertaining than that?
Perhaps you mean Fati gave you more exciting moments because he was a finisher, who scored important goals.

  6. I think Fati just had a knack for scoring goals. And goals are entertaining. But he has never been a great dribbler, passer etc. Overall I find Lamine much more entertaining, though I still hold out hope Fati recovers to be an absolute killer in front of goal.

  7. Fati does have a certain amount of magic. When it works for him he looks effortless and graceful with the ball. His first touch can be very impressive too.

  8. I do understand what you mean, but they feel fundamentally different. Lamine feels like someone who can create magic whenever he has the ball, whereas Fati, when he took a shot, felt like an inevitable force of nature who’d put the ball in the back of the net, one way or another.

  9. “he was like a bullet: quick, precise and lethal”
You can make the same argument about yamal regarding his decision making and passing. Heck his maturity on the ball is comparable to some of the elite players (in his position) in the game rn.

“Also had a couple clutch moments”
Well yamal has been clutch in all the k/o rounds of euros. Especially that goal against France and the assist in the final. Fati never came close to that level of clutch.

“Overall, I think if hadn’t had that injuries he would become number 10s successor”
Even if he had all the luck in terms of injuries, I think yamal would still have been the better player. For me he is just a league above because of his passing, dribbling and playmaking abilities.

“The reason I post this is that, in my opinion, some people are overhyped with this kid”
I think the hype around yamal is just all right, on the flipside I always thought fati was overhyped.
If yamal gets his goalscoring aspect right, which is only a matter of time, he blows fati out of the water.
