I know Bruno and now Tonali grab most of the headlines, and they’re both class, but Willock is so important to how we play. He brings a different kind of dynamism to the midfield—he can carry the ball at pace and his movement off the ball opens up so much space for the others. His link-up play with Bruno, in particular, has been amazing to watch.
The only thing holding him back has been injuries, and that’s been frustrating. But when he’s fit, he’s a game-changer. It’s mad that he’s still only 24—feels like he’s been around forever, but he’s still got so much room to grow.

If we can’t keep him fit I’ll be so disappointed at missing out on his potential ceiling.

I think every day we should thank willock for singlehandly saving our club from relegation during the Bruce era.
