Man City could be expelled from all competitions, not just the Premier League

  1. I really think a harsh sentence here is the only way to restore a bit of credibility to the game. I honestly think forced sales of clubs that breach financial rules to this level is the only truly appropriate response. City have built a global brand whilst cheating that will stick around long after any punishment.

  2. Could be but of course won’t be. I don’t wish bad on the club as their fans have done nothing wrong but we all know they will never get a punishment like that.

    It won’t happen.

The EPL has already decided to accept money to grant legitimacy to the slave system in a trench coat in Abu Dhabi.

They can’t send the message that such investments are not safe

  4. The financials weigh way too much to expell them from the league. As much as I want them to go down the worst thing they will face is severe financial punishment, which for the qataris mean nothing.

  5. Getting rid of one corrupt team to let the other corrupt teams fight again really does sum up the premier league tbf

  6. Now we are talking, IF they are found guilty they must be made an example of and punished accordingly with no silly small fines and actual expulsion!

And if my grandmother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle.

Just enough points deducted to keep them out of Europe for a season.

  8. If they are expelled from the prem. Do the EFL have to accept them, or is it at their discretion? I’m not sure if there any positives for the efl.

Let’s all get a grip the chance they get expelled from the prem is very close to zero. The powers that be will never let that happen.

  10. Lol, not gonna happen.

They will receive a slap of the wrist and some fines.

Big origination getting punished for financial manipulation, that also in UK. Never gonna happen.

  11. I’m sick and tired of hearing “could” I wanna read “when” FFS.

Get rid of Man City and PSG once and for all

  12. From the proven first year of cheating all trophies and titles should be taken away and dropped two divisions lower

I want this as much as everyone else. But it needs to be consistent, Chelsea, Manchester United, and some others have also broken rules and I don’t see why any team should get preferential treatment.

  14. Expelled from all competitions and stripped-off of all the titles they won during the period of the breaches, this would be the fair punishment if found guilty. But we all remember how Italian football got destroyed after heavily punishing Juventus in 2006, severely punishing City could litteraly destroy English football., so my guess is points deduction at max.

If they can’t even deduct points from Leicester because they were technically in the Championship when the 22-23 financial year ended, I doubt the Premier League could do more than relegate City and strip the titles

  16. The cynic in me thinks the only thing that’s going to result from all this is Everton being docked more points
