He has mega potential and only 21 which is practically nothing today, as players these days decline after say 32+ whereas before by 30 you’re done, imo it will only go up.
His overall play for his age is outstanding, he knows how to hold play/ball, he’s link up play is good, he’s fast, he works very hard, he’s efforts on pitch are very evident, he’ll run all day, he just lacks that killer striker instinct.
He needs to be coached correctly as there’s a big player in him, by 25 he could be this insane machine that no one can stop, Utd have to get this right.
Martial also had insane potential so let’s not make that same mistake.

He has huge potential and had a really good year last year but nobody in their right mind would call him elite yet.
He’s got to improve in a good few areas but he has great instincts and a savage finish. Give him another year or two and then judge whether he’s in that top bracket.

This article is dumb. It uses math to try to prove a point but then gets the math wrong, makes wildly overconfident inferences from way too small sample sizes and compares Højlund to non-forwards as if that means anything.
The most egregious mistake is the line about Højlund outperforming his xG at a similar rate to other forwards, except Isak. When looking at the numbers, the facts are the exact opposite: Isak is the player with the MOST similar ratio of xG to goals to Højlund out of all of them.

I think with Zirkzee and even Marcus able to play ST, there should be no reason for him to be plagued by fitness issues again this season. Preseason was extremely unlucky, but now we don’t have to throw him in the fire straight away.

30 goal a season striker? You are asking a lot from this kid. I think he has potential to be decent but 30 goals is a shit ton of goals. The player comparisons in the article lack context, neither chicha nor Berba scored 30 in all comps as prem players. Van P scored 10 and 11 goals while playing over 1000 less mins each season than Hojlund. In Rashfords 30 goal season he only managed 17 in the league. 30 is a lot
