  1. Just to be clear, the info which the tweet skipped out is that it’s not him buying it alone but an English investment fund run by his father.

    Key thing is that his dad is the main investment firm behind it but surely this comes to conflict of interest.

    Happy to see him potentially doing good things with his money but it’s rather odd for an active player, who’s at the peak of his career to purchase a club that is in a top tier league.

  3. Could Trent be a front for F$G? Nantes are currently 5th in Ligue 1 and Liverpool will face the same problem the Red Bull clubs, City and Girona, Milan and Toulouse faced if they qualify for the same European Competition (Champions League hopefully).

    There are clear rules prohibiting clubs who are owned by the same entity playing each other, but are there any restrictions for owners playing against a team they own?
