I thought his movement to drag his defender with him and open up space was fantastic. Reminded me of Vini vs Bayern in the CL last season, where Kroos played a very similar pass to what Moi did yesterday.

Wait, you guys didn’t hear the commentary and match of the day analysis?? We only scored this goal because West Ham was so bad, nothing to do with how well we played or anything like that. Literally, we only won this game because West Ham didn’t turn up, apparently.

Such a well-worked goal. Three West Ham players collapsed on Colwill as he passed it to Enzo, who hit it first-time behind the advancing three into Caicedo. With the entire centre vacated, Caicedo had all the time in the world to put a pinpoint pass to Jackson, dragging the defender forward before spinning into space, used his pace and slotted it past the keeper with the outside of his boot.
Jackson’s movement and pace is elite. He makes things happen, which is why he’s so valuable in spite of his finishing being not as stellar.
Though Caicedo was a monster in the midfield, credit has to be given to Enzo as well. The second goal happened because he wrongfooted the midfield with his quick pass to Caicedo. Palmer’s goal also began with Enzo passing up the field to Jackson.
I wish the Enzo when we first signed him would come back, but I think Caicedo is much more comfortable when Enzo is on the pitch, because he does the simple things well.

People who criticize a striker for dropping deep never will see a goal like that. It’s only possible because he drops deep and receives the ball so often. Condition the defender for you play in one way and then break them once they are conditioned.

Even the third goal. he dropped in to space, dragged Mavropanos out of defence, layed it off the Caicedo and then made the run in behind. He’s always been great at this stuff but Jackson haters just see highlights or clips of his misses and make their judgement off of that
